Sistemi Operativi!, Edit XD

Apro qui questa discussione principalmente per discutere su sistemi operativi come da titolo... Io mi trovo bene su Windows, ma non dico che Linux faccia schifo XD (Anche se oltre che con macchina virtuale non l'ho provato u.u).
A voi la parola!

E poi in effetti non si possono mischiare le due cosa... sappiamo tutti quanti quanto sia abissale la differenza tra i due concetti anche se uno presume l'altro...

Forse il tema doveva essere spiegato meglio... In effetti si potrebbe elogiare chissà quale sistema operativo ma è tutto il contesto per cui è realizzato che lo rende utile...

i agree whit usernet: on windows there are software suites that linux can only dreams. anyway, linux it's for people that want liberty, main example is choosing wich distribution. linux, in my opinion, it's made for mid-high level users: it requires command line usage, and most casual users don't like it (maybe ubuntu it's the most user-friendly open source operating system based on linux...)
also, in my opninion, windows and linux have the same potential, just you have to learn how to use all the potential. linux community is lager and more active than windows community, so, it's easier learn linux than windows, even if linux is harder than windows...

Aggiungo... dovrai scusarmi s!ck ma il mio inlgese è un po' arruginito, che sebbene linux nasca già di per se orientato alla sicurezza in tutte le sue varianti (non intendo distribuzioni), è bene anche sfatare il mito di windows = colabrodo... Ci sono policy, ci sono strumenti, ci sono aggiornamenti pensati appositamente.

Parliamo di malware in generale, ma molto spesso ci si dimenticato che anche su windows se ne può impedire l'esecuzione...

well, on malware here is the answer: wich is the most OS used? -> windows.
so, if i'm a cracker, and i want to getting rich stealing users's banks credentials, for wich operating system i will write my malware? it's obvius, for windows!!

oh yeah, on windows i can avoid running bad software, but how can i be sure this software is bad or not? just pay attention and think. and maybe, for be sure of it, can be used an antivirus...

yep. but have you ever tried fedora with the spin or (aye on fedora) to have installed the gropulist?I think they are better than some software for windows imho
