Il titolo non è del tutto appropriato, ma è lo stesso una cosa carina.

-> Apriamo il terminale.
-> Digitiamo "dir".
-> Ci spostiamo nella cartella "musica" o nella cartella video con "cd destinazione".
->Digitiamo "dir".
->Andiamo su un file, selezioniamo il nome completo e premiamo "ctrl+shift+c".
-> Scriviamo "cat" e poi premiamo "ctrl+shift+v".
-> Fine.

No, l'ultimo ctrl+v serve per incollare il nome.
Il comando "cat" è fatto per file di testo, e se gli metti qualcosa di non conforme, "impazzisce".
